Ignition Studio now offers free access to Ignition Studio for the education sector

The global pandemic has changed the way all of us operate, at work and at home. These changes have been keenly felt in education, where educators find themselves needing to engage students from home.

We want to help. We’ve launched a free edition of Ignition Studio, so you can experiment with live, interactive video as you engage students remotely.

To get started, all you need is a camera.

  • Present a lesson to your students, using live video
  • As you teach, trigger questions that students can answer in real time
  • Gamification: students can score points for correct answers; optional leaderboard and prizes
  • Instantly see how your students responded to questions and topics

How does it work?

Book

  • Contact us to request a free session; it’s free until the end of the school year
  • Note that our free version is a public channel — anyone can view it, but you can still invite your chosen audience

Plan

  • Once you’re booked in, create your script and questions
  • We recommend having a second person helping to trigger the questions, but this isn’t mandatory. (They don’t need to be in the same location.)
  • You’ll get access to online training materials to help you, with an option to purchase live support

Why live?
Live video creates ‘eye-to-eye’ dialogue between the students and viewer. It creates a sense of urgency that compels kids to engage.
Why interactive?
Structured interactivity enables transparent, two-way communication. Giving your students a voice makes for more effective learning.
Why gamified?
Use storytelling and design techniques from the media world to make your content more attractive, incentivise students to participate and reward results.
